South Milwaukee Public Library activities
A special thanks to the South Milwaukee Lions Club for their donation of time and money to redo the landscaping in front of the library. Also a thank you to Nature's Nook for their donation of material.
Summer time at the South Milwaukee Library. Time to work on the garden and starting planning those family activities. Check ut the library's collection of gardening, picnics, barabecuing and tailgating.
"Make A Splash READ" is the theme for the summer reading program. Be sure to pick up a brochure at the library listing all of the fun things kids can do at the library this sumer. The program begins on Monday, June 14 and runs through Saturday, July 24th. There is also a listing of the activities on the library's calendar of events on the website, www.southmilwaukee.org/library.
Hey kids! Looking for something to do this summer. We are lookg for volunteers to help staff the summer reading desk. Call Miss Denise at 768-8195, ext. 3 for more information.
Reference and Internet service in the adult department starts at 12 noon. Laptop computers are available for use in the morning.
The Friends are taking the summer off from book sales. They are, however, busy adding new material. The next Saturday book sale will be held on September 11th from 9:30-3. The Monday book sales are: October 4 and December 6th. The last Saturday book sale of 2010 will be November 13th.
The summer hours of the libray begin on Monday, June 14th. The hours remain the same as the winter hours, except that the Youth Room will close at noon on Saturdays. The library will be closed on Monday, July 5th and will reopen on Tuesday, July 6th. The Library will be open on Sataurday, July 3rd.
