J/S Article Promotes Drug Abuse to Relieve Anxiety, Discomfort
According to an article in the Dec. 13 Journal Sentinel cue section it is ok to start taking mind-altering drugs again. ( "Turn On, Tune In and Get Better?", by Melissa Healy of the Los Angeles Times.) I have never used these drugs (and never will) but I felt compelled to set the record straight. These drugs are extremely dangerous and have no medical value. Rather than offering legitimacy to their use, the Journal Sentinel should be warning the public about how dangerous these drugs are.

Do you enjoy using our beautiful County Parks? If you do, you now have an opportunity to give back to the Parks you love. Mark your calendar for Saturday, Oct. 22nd. The Sheridan Park Friends will have their Sheridan Shelter & Grounds Autumn Cleanup from 10 am until noon. This event will begin with a short meeting about membership. Then the group will plant bulbs, fertilize around the shelter, pick up trash and clean invasive brush including burdock under the pine trees. There will be refreshments and good company.
CHS Cross-Country Alumni Completes Tough-Mudder Race
On Saturday, July 23, 2011 my son completed the "Tough Mudder" run in Devil's Head Resort in Merrimac, WI. This athletic event is modeled after British Special Forces Training. The event includes a 10-mile run and 24 military-style obstacles. http://toughmudder.com/video/
